seb zel is a brooklyn-based composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist who blends classical training with contemporary innovation to create immersive sonic experiences. his work spans award-winning films like playing sam (roku) and la piel de ayer (hbo), as well as high-profile campaigns for timberland, puma, and mlb. recognized for his artistry, he’s received accolades including a 2024 residency at avaloch farm music institute and best original soundtrack at the nyu first run film festival.

as a staff composer at cornerstore, seb brings ad campaigns to life through dynamic scoring. beyond commercial work, he’s one half of the indie-alternative duo dreamphone and has toured as a guitarist, bassist, and keyboardist for zinadelphia. he also collaborates with artists across genres, from indie rock bands to acclaimed rappers, and performs in unconventional nyc spaces.

born in miami beach, seb holds a degree in music composition & theory from nyu steinhardt, where he studied under renowned mentors like ezequiel viñao and ron mcclure.
